Introduction to High Entropy Alloy Process

The high mixing entropy effect, delayed diffusion effect, lattice distortion effect, and multi-element harmonic effect endow high entropy alloys with unique super solid solution microstructures. Compared with other alloys, high entropy alloys have excellent properties such as high strength, high hardness, high work hardening, high wear resistance, high-temperature stability, and corrosion resistance. As a potential functional and engineering material, HEAs have broad application prospects in high-speed cutting tools, molds, nuclear power engineering, ship materials, and battery materials.

In order to obtain high hardness and high strength high entropy alloys, HEAs alloys should be mainly composed of body centered cubic solid solution (Bcc) and prepared using high-purity raw materials under high vacuum or high-purity inert gas protection conditions. We can now provide users with high entropy alloy materials with different components, processes, and specifications.

Recently, the preparation work mainly includes: non consumable vacuum arc melting, direct air induction melting, water-cooled copper crucible suspension melting, powder metallurgy forming, etc. The above production processes have their own advantages and disadvantages.
